Week Highlights: From Village Smiles to Unexpected Meals 🇰🇭
This past week has been absolutely incredible!
We kicked things off Monday morning with a powerful chapel service where Kait shared her testimony—such a meaningful start to the week. Our team was on rotation for village outreach, so each day we split into two groups of four and hit the road bright and early. We left at 7:30 AM for the first village, then again at 1:30 PM for the second.
We traveled by bike, moto, or tuk tuk, and every time we arrived, the children were already waiting—smiling, excited, and ready. We opened with worship songs (complete with fun hand motions), shared the story of the Exodus, and handed out snacks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, notebooks, and pencils. The kids listened attentively and joyfully received each gift with big smiles and a heartfelt “Acun” (thank you). Afterward, we played tug-of-war and jump rope—their laughter was absolutely contagious and such a joy to be part of.
Thursday was Labor Day, a national holiday, so school was closed and the team enjoyed a much-needed rest. That evening we were treated to a very adventurous dinner—featuring turtle, frog, cow, and chicken! To top it off, dessert was… a tray full of bugs and spiders! 😳🕷️🐛 It definitely stretched our comfort zones, but also made for unforgettable memories.
We ended the day with a sweet time of worship, reflecting on the week and praising God for all He’s doing here in Cambodia. From meaningful ministry to wild meals, it’s been a week full of joy, growth, and the goodness of God.
Thank you for continuing to pray for us as we serve, grow, and share His love with those around us!
