Today was day 4 of serving at A Heart For Wisdom school in Cambodia, and the days just keep getting sweeter. I got to spend the entire day teaching bible to third grade, and teaching English to pre-school and kindergarten. Being in the classrooms this week has been such a blessing, seeing the students grow and be excited to learn from their teachers. Being at the school, there are endless amounts of hugs and high fives every single moment.
Today while teaching third grade bible, I had a sweet moment of seeing the beauty in the faith of a child. These kids are learning about Jesus, going home and sharing with their friends and family, all at the age of 8. It was such a tender reminder from the Lord that faith at all ages is powerful, beautiful, and impactful in all parts of the world. This school is raising up a strong and kind generation, and it is an honor to be apart of what God is doing here. The Lord has been moving in great ways through the team’s outreaches, through English class, through bible class, and even in the countless hours of sports classes. Each moment is a time to pour into the hearts and minds of the children and staff here, and in doing so we are continually blessed as a team.
David celebrated his 30th Birthday with teaching several Bible classes and the mid week service. In a tradition he began, he was greeted with a plated full of whipped cream.
