Over the weekend, half of our team had the incredible opportunity to stay in the village with local families from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. In groups of two, along with a translator, they experienced daily village life firsthand—sharing meals, conversations, and even lending a hand with chores like mending fences, spreading chicken fertilizer, catching crabs and frogs, and cooking traditional meals.
Saturday brought a special adventure as all the teams gathered atop Chiso Mountain to explore ancient 11th-century ruins.
On Sunday, our teams helped lead church services across five different locations, worshiping alongside believers and sharing God’s Word. There are far too many stories to tell here, but each moment has left a lasting impact on both our team and the families we stayed with.
As we step into our second week, we ask for your prayers! A new group will head out to the villages to continue where we left off—this week focusing on teaching about the Exodus. We’ll visit two areas each morning and afternoon, totaling 20 outreach locations by week’s end.
Meanwhile, last week’s outreach team will shift to teaching English, Bible, and sports, as well as helping with property upkeep and serving in the snack shop.
God is moving, and we’re excited for all He has in store!
